Your First Visit

First Things First

Your Beautiful Smiles doctor and staff look forward to meeting you and doing everything possible to make your first visit as easy and beneficial as possible. A healthy, confident smile is important to your health and well-being. By helping you take care of problems and pain now, we can help you avoid more serious and expensive issues down the road.

Beautiful Smiles Dental practices make it easy

Save time by filling out your patient forms now. When you first arrive and meet our staff, you’ll fill out a registration form. This helps our team get to know you better. It’s always a good idea to arrive a few minutes early.

Review Of X-Rays + Examination

After reviewing your x-rays, our dentists will discuss your dental and medical history and the reason for your visit. The dentist will then perform a thorough oral exam and suggest a comprehensive treatment plan that’s best for you. This is important, because seeing the full picture helps you make the best decisions about your care.

Consultation With Office Manager

Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive oral care – that means taking care of immediate problems and preventing small issues from getting bigger and more expensive. If left untreated some conditions may have serious consequences for your overall health, including heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

After the doctor completes your exam, our office manager will meet with you to answer any questions, discuss payment options, and work with you on the best treatment plan for your needs.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

New patients often ask if they can have their teeth cleaned during their first visit. Your actual treatment usually begins with a follow-up visit, often scheduled as soon as the next day. We need to see you first for a comprehensive exam and then schedule adequate time with your hygienist.

X-Rays

We then take a series of digital images or x-rays to get a better look at your entire mouth. X-rays allow us to see things we normally couldn’t, and help us provide a comprehensive exam.

X-rays are also essential for denture wearers. Our doctors can determine if you have adequate bone to support your dentures, plus check for bone fractures, cysts, tumors, lesions, and sinus issues.

Recommended Treatment Plan

You’ll hear the term “comprehensive care” often at Beautiful Smiles. It means that the doctors do more than just fix the immediate problem. They examine your entire mouth, recommend treatment options for long-lasting oral health, and work with you to pick which treatments suit you best.
